Life to the Full
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10b).
Jesus said those words. They’re pretty big words. The word, “full,” may only have four letters, but don’t be fooled; it’s loaded. What did Jesus mean by it? Is it a good thing? Is it worth having? Can Jesus be trusted to give it?
Over the next few posts I’m going to fill this blog with questions about what “life to the full” really means. Try not to get discouraged; I’m not going to give many answers. At least, not at first. We need to spend some time thinking about what Jesus meant compared with how we often interpret the phrase “life to the full.” What the world means by “life to the full,” and what Jesus meant by this phrase are quite different.
Will you be able to know the difference? More importantly, will you be willing to live the difference? You might want to ask God to help you do both.
