What’s your plan on Earth? Are you here to serve or to be served? 

Do a quick survey of your attitude and actions within your local church community. Do they testify of a heart that serves others or simply benefits from the service of others?

 “But isn’t that what we hire the pastor and the pastoral staff to do? Aren’t they supposed to be doing the serving, the hospital visits, the outreach, the deep and meaningful conversations, the discipling, the programs and all that stuff? After all, that’s what they’re paid for.”

If that thought has crossed your mind or seems reasonable to you, then perhaps you’ve missed the entire purpose of the church. God’s church, his people, are called be like their King - those who serve and give their lives for many!
