When we understand that Jesus is our destination, it gives us an appropriate view of heaven.

Many religions preach an us-centered view of heaven. Their destination is self-gratification and their own glory. In contrast, our destination is God and his glory. Heaven is all about God, not about us. Indeed we will be satisfied, but through seeking him, not by seeking our own gratification.

Heaven should be passionately desired, because God is there and he’s exceedingly desirable. Our hearts should yearn for heaven because they yearn for God.
